Egg drop experiment?
hey, I have to make an egg drop experiment in sience. we have to drop it from a two-story building. here are the rules: 1. egg must be fresh and raw. can not be coated in plastic, plaster, paint, or altered. 2. no kits, materioals processed componds synthetic non-biodegradable materials such as wire, plastic, rubber, balloons, styrafoam, sponges, foams. 3. no fruit, vegetables, meat products. 4. can not wet or contain water 5. no rocks or anything that would shatter upon impact. 6. can not weigh more than 1 kg, inclding the egg 7. the largest dimension can not exceed 40 cm 8. you can use natural things, and the role and cotton. thanks!
We did something like this … but all I could use the tape and paper. If paper is unlimited (not me, it took approx. 10 sheets of standard size), then this could be a possibility: 1. paper cover the egg (carefully this is where I almost broke mine) 2. make paper cones (as many as you need for a fixed circular ends to cover the egg) and "pack" with paper what does not bend. This is important because if you do not need to pack the cones correctly, then it will not absorb shock correctly. 3. Tape the cone in the egg, covering entire surface area of the egg with the circular surface of the cone. 4. Viola! =) 5. Double check the width between the points and ensure that no points, interior, keep the module. should be pointed star similar to a 3D (nona-deca-or, perhaps?) I did and won my contest … We had to use printed paper, but things hard for the cones (no inner packaging) would be good. Hope this helped!
