China is the world’s largest consumer of Natural Rubber
It is understood that in 2003 China became the world’s largest consumer of natural rubber, but since 1998, natural rubber self-sufficiency rate is reduced year by year. In 2004, China’s natural rubber consumption is 180 million tons, the national output of only 57 million tons, self-sufficiency rate is less than 1 / 3. Affected by typhoons last year, rubber production in the main producing areas in Hainan Province declined, making the year of natural rubber self-sufficiency rate is less than 30%. According to internationally recognized boundaries, 30% of self-sufficiency rate is a national rubber industry, the most basic security line.
